Welcome To Western Wisconsin Wings and Water
This is my home for all things outdoors in our little piece of the world. It is here I share my passion for chasing waterfowl, trout, deer, dogs, upland, decoy carving, woodworking, and more. Check out my hand-carved decoys, read my blog, and share about my adventures here in Western Wisconsin.
I've been drawn to waterfowl ever since being invited to come along on my first duck hunt as a young man. My hand-carved decoys are typically made of basswood, cork, or northern white cedar. Most are painted in acrylics. They are carved to be working decoys in your duck spread. Take a look at the gallery and reach out if you have interest in having me carve you something.
Writing is another creative outlet. Initially, it was done for fun, and to share with family. Now, it is a vehicle to share experiences, knowledge, mishaps, and the fun of outdoor pursuits with many. The themes derived from outdoor experiences are both elemental and universal. Be it chasing trout, deer, ducks, pheasant, or dogs I know you'll find something to connect with here.
As my carving skills have grown, it has also manifested a greater appreciation of woodworking. Take a look at some of the pieces I do. If there is something that catches your eye, reach out. I'd be happy to talk with you.
